Who am I?
I am an intercessory missionary at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. Translation: I pray; it’s my job. I am on the Night Watch, the midnight to 6am portion of IHOP’s 24/7 prayer room schedule. I love Jesus and I love my job (mostly because I love Jesus).
I am primarily creating this blog as a writing outlet. I write insanely long email updates that some people love and others appreciate but don’t have the time for. (Surely there are a few on my list who don’t love them so much, but they don’t bother to speak up, so we’ll pretend they don’t exist.) In an attempt to make the updates shorter and more “update-y”, I am turning the rest of what goes into a typical update into blogs. I know… brilliant (I hope)!
(Please note: These updates are likely to be quite personal due to the simple fact of this blog being the meat of what used to be sent out in weekly email updates. Sometimes I don’t know why I have always been so transparent with such a large group of people. But I am… and I think the Lord uses it. So… praise God.)
Silly girl.
Of course you don’t quite know why you’re so transparent, because it’s His work it is who you are and it is a gift–a gift to you and a gift to the rest of us, indeed a gift of you.
Who writes this? Just curious because if you are on the night watch I might know you. I just finished FITN in December.
