Worth Mentioning

December 17, 2008

Recent search that led to my blog:

“How to tell an INTJ is about to propose”

Really? Someone really searched for that?

That’s awesome. I have nothing else to say to that.

Bladder Day – September 15, 2008

September 18, 2008

I haven’t written a “Search Engine Gold” post in a while. So, I took a look, and this is what I found.

“my poor bladder”

AND

“little bladder”

Both searches happened on the same day. Chances are, they were the same person. (It isn’t every day that someone’s bladder leads them to my blog. Wow… I should really count my blessings.)

I know WHY it led them here. I drink a lot; I pee a lot. I really put that little guy to work. No messing around, here.

Hmm… I think I am going to go search “my poor bladder” to see what else it pulls up. I admit, I am a little scared.

Todays Search: Things that drive me crazy

September 18, 2007

Here is another search that lead someone to this blog:

but if your not there than i don’t know

Oy. I will say it again: Oy.

This time, I am not even going to inquire as to how my blog was a destination on that ill-started search. I am too distracted by the typos to go there right now.

~ I don’t know what a “not there than i don’t know” is. But I know that I don’t have one. So there is no such thing as my “not there than i don’t know”. I doubt that you have one either… so I think we can rule out “your not there than i don’t know” altogether.

~ I’m not even sure what to say about than. So I am not going to.

To the one searching… sorry if my response was a bit harsh. We’ve just hit on a couple of my little “I’m a grammar snob” pet peeves. I’m sure I made all sorts of really embarassing grammatical and spelling mistakes in the writing of this post. And surely, in the hundreds of words that I wrote in this blog, I have made those specific mistakes once or twice.

However, I do have a suggestion. If you didn’t find what you were looking for, I recommend trying this search:

butt iff your knot their than eye doesn’t no

Umm… ok…

June 30, 2007

I am somewhat baffled as to how this search led someone to my blog:

wreslting decoraion for a birthday

I have to admit that I am somewhat hopeful that “for a birthday” is what brought them here and not “wreslting decoraion”. While I have been known to make such typos (especially while running screens in the prayer room), I would hate to think that I actually published such misspellings in a blog post. Oy…

The Theme Continues

June 11, 2007

It is beginning to seem that the topic of INTJs and love could rival the topic of IHOP as a cult in the frequency with which they lead people to my blog.

I’m still getting a steady stream of people who are investigating the “cult or not”-ness of IHOP. But more and more searches about my personality type and their relationships keep popping up. And, there is still the occasional delightfully random search. Oh how I enjoy those.

I found yesterday’s search inquiries particularly amusing, so I figured I would just share them with you. (Notice, nothing about IHOP yesterday.)

Here is what people are looking for on the internet:

Ouch

May 24, 2007

Well, here is the latest in search engine queries that led others to this blog.

As usual, I had an abundance of searches for “IHOP cult” and the like. In fact, only one day in the last week did not involve such a search. I also had several searches related to topics in my “Marriage and Celibacy” posts. And there were even searches for people (Sarah Stroer, Matt Hartke, and Brooke Turner) that brought others here.

But this is the one that REALLY caught my eye…

can an intj love someone

INTJ Ready for Marriage

May 15, 2007

Those are not my words. “intj ready for marriage” is a recent search that somehow brought an inquiring individual to my blog. I have to admit that I am quite puzzled. I’m not so much thrown off by the fact that these words led someone here. I am, after all, an INTJ. And I have a whole category on marriage an celibacy.

But… seriously… what would lead a person to enter those words into a search engine?

Was it an INTJ who was ready for marriage that made the search? Was it, say, an ENFP who was looking for an INTJ to marry? (According to David Kiersey… that’s the ideal match. Sure, David, sure. I personally think that extroverts can be overwhelming and scarey. Some of them.) Was it an INTJ trying to get google to tell him whether he was ready for marriage or not? Perhaps he asked Jeeves? Was it someone who was about to propose to an INTJ and wanted to feel out the odds of getting a favorable response?

I don’t get it.

(For the record, I am an INTJ… but I’m like a whole relationship away from being “ready for marriage”… as marriage tends to involve marrying another person. Minor detail.)
